Have you ever imagined to control Gorgon Freeman from a top-down viewpoint? If yes, then here is a good news thanks to a newly introduced mod for you – it turns Half-Life into a top-down shooter game completely with a dozen of camera customization choices.

Now, you can experience all actions from an overhead perspective. But, you need to adjust the camera. On its default settings the overhead camera touches the ceilings and, as the creator points out of the mod, it makes the camera really close when the ceiling is low. It’s a bit challenging, and also makes it hard to discover where actually foes are. But, you don’t need to worry, it’s also easy to adjust because of the simple options menu that enables you to set the height of the camera.

If you set the camera in that way that it doesn’t have to stay in boundaries and collides the ceilings then it starts working similar to a conventional top-down shooter. And you can discover enemies easily you’re fighting. Moreover, it will display almost everything that’s out of the bounds in a bright red color. Besides, the developer is currently working on it to fix the issues, perhaps by placing a massive object with texture.

This mod is also responsible for auto-aim, letting you aim in those conditions when you can’t take aim at higher or lower on the enemy. It also makes it easier for you to interact with objects if you’re looking ahead at them.

You can download this mod from MODDB.
