Fan-favorite Characters are Back
NetherRealm Studios has announced both D’Vorah and Kabal characters will be the part of Mortal Kombat 11. Kabal was fully unearthed during the first Kombat Kast, serving as a regular live stream dedicated to the fighting game. Mortal Kombat Co-creator named Ed Boon says Kabal is the first of few characters that will be included to the roster. You can see Kabal in the trailer, in which he appears with his iconic meat hooks.
At a specific points, you can also see Kabal running from one side of the screen and appearing on other side to perform his bone-crushing hook slam. He is also armed with his saw blades, which will be handy in controlling movement and space. However, his fatality involves grabbing the opponent and running fast in tow, before using the available hook to cut the opponent in half.
Ed Boon Statement
Co-creator Ed Boon also teased a guest fighter, saying players will definitely freak out when they discover it. However, Boon stopped after confirming the character. Later, he announced during the inside Xbox Steam that D’Vorah, a playable character that made her debut in Mortal Kombat X, will be a part of Mortal Kombat 11.
A New Character
During The Game Awards, Mortal Kombat 11 was officially confirmed, but it was unveiled on Jan 23, when NetherRealm showcased the gameplay and uncovered few characters. Sub-Zero and Scorpion make their return, along with Baraka, Sonya Blade, and Raiden. Additionally, one new character is featured to the roster named Geras, who is able to manipulate the time.
Moreover, NetherRealm has shared extra details about the story of Mortal Kombat 11 with their fans, taking place after the Event of Mortal Kombat X released in 2015.
