Mixture of Action and Strategy
Unexpectedly, John Wick Hex is a strategy-focused game and it seems quite good. The developers of Thomas Was Alone and Quarantine Circular, Bithell Games has confirmed today that the prequel of John Wick movie will be out on 08 October 2019. Ahead of that, the creator named Mike Bithell and a set of special guests will partake in a panel on the development of the game at New York Comic-Con.
What is John Wick Hex?
It is an upcoming Action-mixed strategy game based on the John Wick franchise. The game is designed only to support Single-player mode and comes with a variety of elements, including a hex-based grid, resource management, and action.
Who is John Wick?
The game puts you in action role of John Wick (the protagonist), who along with enemies will show on the timeline following those used in video editing software. During the game, you can load commands for your hero to follow the timeline and then the game will pause if you haven’t included further moves into the timeline.
Gameplay – What’s new in it?
As the hero, you should take down all enemies from a top-down perspective while revealing the deadly moves. In the grid-based map, your character will follow the moves you place on timeline and will stop as the moves run out from timeline and there’s nothing to execute. While playing, you need to defeat enemies and avoid being hit by his enemies. In the game, all actions may be about improving the better position to fire, taking a better stance that increases the chances to hit of John Wick or to take defensive actions and enhanced cover from enemies.
Your hero is equipped with a handgun loaded with fifteen bullets and once you used all bullets, there’s nothing to use and enemies will easily defeat you. While playing the game, John Wick can grab weapons from foes but requires precious time that the player needs to think through all possible actions you can perform before getting a headshot.
